and we drank in the streets of avignon and music abounded. i drunk dialed everyone that i love acroiss the sea. i miss you all but i love this.
sometimes we go swim in the mediterranean, sometimes we dont.
the sand wasnt at all but pebbles and the water was clear. we trekked through years of unplaqued history and brush like deserts and then saw the million sparkles and jumped.
and everynight there is dinner and conversation and everyday is something new and hard but so so good. fresh melon and the best people.
i cant leave my window when the sun sets except to go outside and i couldnt leave marseilles except to go to la fête de la musique, the streets so different then morning and school time.
we saw french rappers, teenaged and disgruntled, but not too much to dance. they spoke of unity and race and had eyes that played with fire.
we drank at the cafés and saw friends, we took cab rides home through the rowdy streets, swift and sweet in the summer air.
and my legs feel swifter here and i feel good, not so blissfully content as home but not so unmovable as well. very movable in fact, malleable.
i miss my girls and my boy and i hope they all know it. i want this to be another time with everyone or something similar.
i think in two languages and my brain wont go to sleep.
