Prompt: How to open a champagne bottle with a sword. Title: Ultimate Ninja Technique Fandom: Nabari no Ou Genre: crack Rating: PG Word Count: 1300 Summary: The drunken revelry of the Kairoushuu.
Wow, i liked this a lot!. BTW, doesn't raimei have kurogamon? I thought Raikou had shirogamon.
""Brother! What do you think you are doing?" Kazeho exclaimed, as Yukimi laughed and pulled his gun. He aimed at the top of the bottle, squinted one eye shut, and fired."
In that part, you spelled kazuho's name incorrectly.
I'm glad you liked! I'm not 100% sure, but what I thought happened was that Raikou had Shirogamon at first, and Raimei had Kurogamon. Then, when Raikou left a sword in the field for Raimei, he switched them and gave her Shirogamon and kept Kurogamon. I thought that was really touching, so I hope that's what he did.
Thank you so much for pointing out the typo! *goes off to fix*
Waitwaitwait, so they switched? I think i need to re-watch the series over again to see how much i missed. But i had no idea about the white/black gamon thing, thanks!
I agree, it's the first anime that has really caught me since Darker Than Black. I keep trying to get my friends to watch it, but it doesn't seem to be working. ;)
I think it will probably take a year or so before it turns up legally in the U.S. But I do think that it will be successful here, so it will probably get licensed eventually (if it isn't already.)
Is DTB that great? Maybe i should watch it now. I've heard quite a bit about it in the last few days (maybe i've just been on livejournal more) and it seems to be okay. Where did you see it?
*grin* Well, I think DTB is that great, but I don't know if everyone shares my tastes. :) My favorite anime are: Ouran Host Club, Darker Than Black, Kyou Kara Maou, and Nabari no Ou. Bleach would probably be next. It remains to be seen whether NnO can climb higher on that list. :)
I downloaded DTB as the subs came out -- actually, if the links are still active, you can probably get them if you join darker_than comm and poke around a bit. DTB is licensed, and is supposed to be released on DVD by Funimation in the U.S. starting in late November.
Host Club? AT LAST, SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS! Kyo Kara Maoh... I haven't seen that in ages... i didn't even get to the 7th DVD before i was overcome by the vast interests of the internetz. Nabari was one of those interests. I got into death note as well.
My theory is that there's sort of a hump with KKM, and you have to get through it to get hooked for good. But if you do, then you get to enjoy scenes like this one. ;) I went for months stopped somewhere around ep 20, but then I went back to it and watched through 30 or 35. Then I wanted to see to the end of the arc... and then I became hooked.
I watched Death Note, but it didn't become one of my favorites. Have you read the manga for NnO or are you just watching the anime?
KKM was good, i just didn't have time. I saw the KKM pic, i LOL'd hard.
Death Note (the anime version) made me cry at the end, it was so beautiful. The third live action Death Note movie made me cry, too. I saw it at Animexpo in a room full of loud fangirls, so i didn't really hear most of the english dialogue (screaming fangirls) but it was still good. Or maybe it was only good because i saw the last episode the night before.
I am in the process of reading NnO's manga, and i have watched all the NnO episodes released so far. Including ep. 15.

Hee! You probably would've liked it anyway, but timing helps a lot with anime. I only get really stuck on anime that I watch as it comes out, once a week or whatever. Otherwise, I tend to watch them all in a row and forget about them shortly afterwards.
I've watched 15 raw, too -- I can't wait for it to be subbed! *dies of impatience*
I'm trying to read along in the manga at the same pace the anime is going. Since I finished Volume 7, I think I have a week or two to wait before I read any more.
I've been trying to catch up on the manga lately. I'm only on volume 5 or something. I can't find volume 4 anywhere for some reason. No one has it, apparently. Episode 15 was a great episode, no? I'm sure that i would have liked it more if i had understood half the words they were saying. I understood what was going on, though. I'm japanese but i only understood about 1/4 of what they were saying. *dies of shame*
Yes, there are several holes in the manga... I just skipped over those parts to keep up with the anime. Actually, the fact that I read volume 7 was probably the only reason I could understand episode 15 at all -- I don't speak japanese, though I know a few words here and there from my anime addiction and from taking a class once. :)
I can't wait to find out what Kumohira is saying in episode 15, although I suppose it's pretty predictable. I also want to know what Yukimi was talking about with Shijima -- I tend to like his little speeches. :)
All right! Now I have seen ep 15 subbed. :) There weren't really any surprises at all. I'm a little sad.
I'm with you on not really liking Shijima and Aizawa... you learn more about them in volume 7 of the manga than we did in the Kouga arc of the anime. That's all I'll say about that for now. ;)
Was there some joke about "Aizawa" and "rainbow"? I seem to remember it, but I can't remember if it was in an episode of the anime or somewhere else -- it's bugging me!
considering EVERYONE in Nabari has a dark past and no family
Yeah, bucketloads of characters even seem to have killed their entire families (emphasis on *seem*) -- Raikou, Kumohira (well, Miharu's family), that Kairoushuu teacher at the beginning.
I don't think being gay is enough to make them abnormal, but I think all the characters are adorably abnormal in their own little ways... :)

Just saying.
Otherwise, this is a great fic!
