American Idol.
NOTE: Before anyone gets all pissy about what I post, remember this: IT'S ONLY AN OPINION. This wasn't made to intentionally piss someone off, although it might. I'm sorry if this hurts your feelings, but don't post any hateful or rude comments about my post please. I just need a place to vent.
American Idol. PISSED ME OFF. Adam Lambert was WAY better than Kris Allen. Adam totally deserved to win American Idol. Even though he'll probably get a recording contract, it still pisses me off. And all those homophobic douchebags that are saying, "America isn't ready for a gay American Idol", can just keep listening to their crappy music and get over themselves.
All in all, Kris was a good singer. But, that doesn't mean he should have won over an amazing vocalist. I mean, Kris probably won't be that popular on the radio anyways. He probably will end up a one-hit-wonder. I know everyone appreciates a Christian winning American Idol, as do I, being a Christian myself, but just because a majority of America is Christian, doesn't justify his winning.
I think American Idol is starting to become too political. It used to be all about the singing, but now people are judging the contestants on more than just their voices. I will admit, I couldn't stand Danny Gokey. I understand he was a good singer, but I just didn't like him in general. That didn't keep me from voting for him. Another contestant I didn't care for. Matt Girard. Didn't like him. Still voted for him.
On another note, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the duet Adam did with KISS. It was epic.
