i was walking outside of czehoski..it was incredibly snowy..but it wasnt cold.
there was so much snow on the ground they had to knock out the pane of glass in the door so people could step in instead since the door wouldn't open.
i was with a friend..erin maybe? and we went in for brunch. gary pounder was behind us..but i was pretending i didnt see him. we picked a front table, but got moved into the back dining room. i didnt recognize the guys cooking brunch..but the place was packed. the back room had a screen set up and a woman announced she was going to play a film..it had a french title and it was half about england and half about paris. she had binders prepared for us all to flip through and use as a study guide. my binder had the pages out of order and backwards. there will random little scribbled notes i guess from people who had used the binder previously. i got my pages in order. the woman explained a bit about the film..about a woman who was destined to kill the man who killed her.
the movie started..it seemed old, but the special effects were really good. surprisingly good. it involved the ghost of this old english dude sir william something or something like that. he was super old and i think he had a sword. there was a young girl who was walking by this bridge and the ghost of the man floated by chasing these three girls in period dresses..they looked like milk maidens or something..but the disney version cuz they all had different coloured dresses, purple, green and pink..but the dirty and i think they were ghosts too..the man started slashing at them and attacking the other girl on the bridge too. they were screaming and in a very anime but live action style their limbs were sliced off..the girl on the bridge was screaming and her left wrist and her right leg just above the knee were missing..the rest of her all bashed around. but then they all started floating and their missing limbs flickered sparkly pink with this bright white string that seemed to be wrapping around them and returned sort of like a hologram at first and then for good. the man was gone..but one of the maidens and the girl from the bridge remained. they seemed confused about what happened. they found a wooden box nearby and pried open a plank..there was a blinking green light with some sort of little switch with words written above it. i cant remember what it said..but it somehow proved that she was supposed to be dead..but she would remain a ghost until she killed sir william. and that the other maiden had a blinking green light box too..which meant that sir william had killed her too.
and then there was a big parade (i was too sleepy to get up and check what it was all about) outside of my window and i woke up.
last night i met up with erin at vivoli. it was alright..there was this scottish guy who i could NOT understand but he kept trying to talk about cooking with me. he was one of erin's ex's friends who is friends with the owners of vivoli or something.
then we went to the embassy. i really like the embassy..but im not used to going out on friday night. there is soemthing about being at a crowded bar in the middle of a dark and deserted marketplace thats kinda cool though.
then i went and visited my asian friend at the 24hr internet cafe..hes either very nice or thinks im a member since im there a lot and he doesnt charge me full price. woo!
then riding home i saw matt, charles and ryan outside of czehoski. i miss hanging out with ryan..hes funny. i should make an effort to visit the harbord room sometime this week. also cuz i need to talk to corey and dave about australia.
ok i gotta go and buy some corn and make biscuits and potato salad. woo!
also..polenta with duxelle and parmesan is really, really good.
as much as time is passing quickly enough as it is..i cant wait for osaka and dave and that big aquarium.
