If anyone is free on Saturday, May 29th, 2004 A.D. (next week saturday), come to the Darien Sportsplex (451 Plainfield Rd.) in the lovely, never-boring town of Darien, IL (hah). The Reception (my new band) is playing a show with our good friends Plunket, as well as Horseshoes and Handgrenades, and At Large. The show starts at 6, and costs $6. Make sure to get there early, because I don't know when we play, but we'll probably open. New stickers should be in by then, and new shirts soon after. So you all should come, and bring a friend. This especially goes out to T, being as you live close to there...bring everyone you know. Anyone else who lives there, you come too...and bring everyone you know. We will have the 4 song demos to give away.
Anyway, Pete was in town for the week...it was awesome to see him again. We practiced something of an acoustic set for our buddy Andrew's graduation party. It should be good times.
I am very happy with the progress that The Reception is making. Things are starting to really come together. I was unsure at first, but I am very pleased. In addition to booking more shows, I am hoping to book some studio time at a real studio (rax or bombshelter?) for another 3 or 4 song demo in a few months. Let's hope that it works out well. I hope to see you all on the 29th.

PS....congrats to Kevin and Nicole. I love you both.
