So I'm cleaning my room today, and I find a CD carrying case with a bunch of old CD's. Not only did I find some quality Stryper, but I also came across my cd of old Dont Look Down songs. I remember when I first heard those, how much I finally realized that there was good punk in the local scene. And I realized how far they have come. And I remember how amazed I was when I heard them. When I heard Father & Son and Here I Am...I loved it. Come on though, with great tunes such as Sunrise? How could you go wrong? Then I also found my old First Class CD, and remembered how I liked it too. But then I lost it. And found it again as things went bad with Jamie. This song hit home (pun intended)
Taking Over Me
It just won't be the same tomorrow when I wake up
All I see is gray, since you went away
Loneliness is silence and I can't say a word
Because I'm the one that left and you're
The one who hurt.
Is it way too late to tell you I miss seeing you smile
Is it way too far to go just to let you know
And like the moon shines through the night you are always on my mind
And like the wind we cannot see you're taking over me.
Reflections of the past still hold your pain
Will my mistakes keep me from ever seeing you again
I try to look ahead but you still hold me back
It's hard to see things straight
Still lost in the past.
And I won't ask because I know
Why you're not inside my arms
But in my head you seem to be
Taking over me.
Is it way too late to tell you I miss seeing you smile
Is it way too far to go just to let you know
And like the moon shines through the night you are always on my mind
And like the wind we cannot see you're taking over me.
That's all. Everyone who will be awake, listen to 89.1 FM (Naperville, IL) tonight from 2AM to 6AM. I'll be doing a shift at the station then. Call 630.637.8989 or IM me at FM89 and talk to me. Or listen online at www.wonc.org if you are out of the suburbs. I'll play you some good Alkaline Trio. Or Bon Jovi.
I started another band. We are called Left With Ashes. It's nothing like The Pechanios, but it's still good. If you want more info, IM me at MattPechanio. Later.
