Did you have a Sit N Spin? It was this plastic thing that was sort of like the home version of the thing in the middle of a carnival teacup ride. You sat on it, wrapped your legs around the middle, and turned the disc thingy with your hands to make yourself spin. They tipped over really easily and you'd go ass over teakettle onto the floor.
We kept ours in the playroom in our unfinished basement. Concrete floors feel GOOD!
I'm 30, and I still have a scar on my knee from when I fell off of one of things when I was like six or so. :)
My most favorite scar though was when my brother made a roller coaster in the back yard. It was a board that he put up against the fence, he hung a rope from the top. You had to climb to the top and then slide back down. I was two, and nobody noticed the nail poking out of the board until I came down. That is how I tell my right from my left, as that scar is still on my right wrist. You can even see the holes from where the stitches were. :)
I've also had numerous broken bones. I was reading your comment about what you and your siblings did to each other. I have broken my right arm three times, once elbow (that was the one time my brother and I were getting along actually) twice wrist, nad once on my left arm. The funny thing about he left arm, I was in high school on my way to First Aid class. The teacher couldn't tell if it was broken, so we had to call my mom to take me to the dr. :)
Rusty nails are the best, aren't they? I've had a run-in or two with them. And how the hell could your First Aid teacher not be able to tell your arm was broken?!
Duuude! Ft Edmonton Park (a place that has different streets set in different decades) has one in their park on 1920 street. StinkBug thought it was the coolest thing ever to have me and his dad spin it around so fast we all almost flew off.
And StinkBug was also really upset to find out that is the only place in the city that has one.
there is a park in Monterey California. Had what was called a Helicopter. You had to climb to the top of this like 8 or 9 foot rock, climb onto the open ended thing, and then someone on the rock would push it and it would go around in a circle, quite fast actually.
Gee, I wonder why anyone would think that was dangerous and take it out. :)

I got the highest, but it knocked the air out of me and some lady almost called an ambulance. Hah!

This line will be in my head all day, making me laugh. And SO true! I think Darwin was out to lunch most of the 80s - dunno how we survived.
