"OK - here's the thing. I am 42 and have been with someone who seems to have "super sperm". He suddenly decided he now does not want me to get pregnant. I have - although I have great feelings for him -I have really wanted to use him as a "sperm donor" the old-fashioned way. He agreed, but at the last second, backed out.
I bought the INSTEAD cups, which they have found out seems to work for couples try to conceive. It was orginally invented as an alternative to tampons. They look somewhat like a diaphragm and are inserted and held in the cervix the same way.
I had one in me last night - and my ovulation test showed it was the perfect day to try to conceive. He ejaculated into my mouth. I jumped out of bed, ran to the bathroom, and took out the INSTEAD cup from my vagina and spit all the semen immediately into the cup, and reinserted it into me. I then laid with my hips elevated all night.
My question is - what are the chances of the semen surviving the few minutes it was in my mouth with the mouth acids and enzymes, then hit the air for a few seconds (literally) and the inserted into me with the INSTEAD cup to hold the semen? Is there any chance for survival and possibly pregnancy to occur?"
