And wow, just wow.
Some things are so rarely worth the wait but this is. On the plot, I did love that you didn't gloss over the fact that they are probably damn wrong for each other. Their personalities, the mutual cheating, it all by rights shouldn't work. So it's just a great one-two punch when it just does. Love, in all its forms is never rational and you brought that across absolutely wonderfully.
Their reconciliation scene was great. I think I must have reread that part of their conversation over the phone a few dozen times (and I'm trying desperately not to sniffle in the office). The choice of words, the way you structured it and the final three paragraphs were just great. And you did it all without delving too much into sappy territory.
And I like the ending, and the choice of your final sentence was really so damn powerful. Yes, its a very open ending, but what else really needs to be said quite frankly? It was just the right kind of note to end it on.
Also, I think your writing style is still very good, your use of words and phrases for moods still impresses me. I definitely don't think you've lost your knack.
I've said it before, don't stop writing. You have a wonderful knack for it so it would be a shame to waste it.

PS: I've actually had a kind of idea for a MUCC oneshot that I've been putting on the backburner. I am now inspired to flesh it out, I hope you realise what you have done :P lol!

I think people can love each other but not necessarily be compatible for a relationship, which is definitely Tatsurou and Miya's case here. A lot of the ambiguity is due to the fact that I haven't figured out a lot of things myself (I haven't even decided whether they'd really be able to make it work out this time), but to me it wasn't really the point. Hence the very open ending. :) I was a little apprehensive it'd be somewhat unsatisfying, so you're reassuring me here!
Hah, you have no idea how long I've agonized over the reconciliation scene. It just wasn't shaping up like I wanted it to even though I had a clear idea of how I wanted it like, so I'm really, really happy that you liked it. And awe, knowing that there were sniffles make me all warm and fuzzy inside. ♥
Anyway, thank you so much for the feedback and encouragement! I definitely won't stop writing. I'm thinking of moving onto original stuff, although I don't want to stop writing MUCC fiction just yet. There's still a couple of stories I want to do with them.
PS: OMG, do iiit! It's embarrassing how often I check mucc69 and the MUCC tag on jrockyaoi to see if there's something new. :x

And I get your reasoning, in the end that is the truth. Its hard to look at a couple and see that they will be together 20 years down the road. Its satisfying because its a kind of ending, but also because you leave it open to what ifs. And then the reader can decide whether it will work or not.
Good luck with whatever you do ^^ and I itch to write original fiction as well, but I always say I will only after I finish all my fanfic ideas (which are ridiculously plentiful *facepalm*)
