I mean seriously.  We're stuck in a city full of friggin' face-eating monsters, and you're worried about some mistletoe?!  C'mon, unless you've gotta kiss one of those ghost things, what's the big deal?

Sometimes people choose to focus on the lesser concerns so as to retain a sense of normality.

Is it? Would you rather be constantly and consistently worrying about weather tomorrow, you will be killed by a monster, or whether you may or may not suffer the considerably lesser harm of getting shocked my mistletoe? I can see little wrong with trying to find something that verges more on a sense of normality than one might otherwise find in the city.

If you're not content with that reasoning, there's also the fact that the monsters are a day-to-day feature of the city and unless one leaves the safer areas of the city, they are unlikely to run into much trouble. The mistletoe is an inconvenience that is currently inescapable and inhibits day-to-day activities.

I was just gettin' at the fact that everyone's whining about something that's s'pposed to be a fun tradition. I mean, so you've gotta kiss a few people... It's not like it's all that bad... Mostly...

I just think people need to lighten up.
