Woohoo!!!
I work for Equality Florida...doo da...doo da! I now have the best part time job EVER! Last week I was bitching to Joe about how much I hate target (after only 4 days) and I jokingly said "Need an assistant?" Joe tells me I should write a proposal and ask them to seriously consider hiring me and that I'll even raise my own salary. After much agonizing and 4 drafts later, I hand in a proposal on Monday, told I basically have the job on Tuesday and today I get my job description and I start Monday. Oh, how much better my life got in one week. My title is "Public Policy Assistant", I am going to assist Nadine in public policy. It's really intimidating to report directly to her, but I think it's going to be good. Joe and I are going to work in an office together and kick Central Florida's ass. And I finally get something I've wanted since I was a child...my own business cards. I don't even have to raise my own salary. Yes...times are good.
