A disappointment and a writerdump.

I'm still overjoyed about Obama's election, but I can't help but feel a little disgusted with this country all over again when I hear that Prop 8 wasn't blasted out of its miserable existence. I expected better from you, California.

But even in the face of that, the fact that Obama is President-elect, and that we have made changes, gives me hope that we can fix this, we can do better, we can stop debating about whether or not equal rights should be upheld by a state constitution and make progress at last.

And that is (probably) my last political post for a long while, because I'm getting a headache just hearing the world "election" right now.

A while back, who_otp did a mini-mini fic challenge, where the goal was to produce fic of less than 40 words. The summary, however, could be as long as you liked. So, in lieu of productive writing today, I snuck those in between annotating pathways. Posted here so I feel like I've accomplished something. (DIY NaNo was on hold for the past few days, due to work and things, and it's still technically on hold, but these ficlets are bite-sized and don't take terribly long.)

6 microficlets, 3 to 36 words, het, femmeslash, gen, crack. Playing along, in comments or in your own journal, is highly encouraged. ;D

Actual proper writing to happen after pathway annotations are done. Which looks to be...never. Nngh.
