So as I start this week there is like nobody in the office. My boss is out on a cruse for 2 weeks the rest of the company is out on business its like you could hear a pin drop. Things are creepy almost with out the buzz of everyone around. So this week MS proves to be open to another bug that got converted into a worm very quickly. For some reason either the worms creator didn’t feel like being an asshole or people are really getting better at patching their systems things don’t seem that major. This really kind of sucks because it was fun to watch ass hats run around a patch MS workstations and servers for a week or two after a problem was found.
I am also kind of surprised that with issues like the ones Microsoft is patching up that more of them aren’t discovered in the real world and not by the guys at Redmond. I guess the good old days of discovering a buffer-overflow and posting it to the net are almost over. I am sure there will be a couple more but now days its going to be the vendors post the patch and everyone tries to write the exploit at that time. Oh well people stay out of trouble.
