Downer entry...
We got the spot on Reuben's head checked. The doctor said it was what was called a 'strawberry haemangioma'. It's about the size of an apple seed right now, but started off invisible, then grew to the width if a hair and about a centimetre long. The doctor said it would coninue to grow until he was 5 years old, then would disappear. He said it wouldn't grow too much more though, I hope he's right! He said that haemangiomas are actually benign tumours. This worries me. They are more common in girls than boys and are mostly found on the head and neck area. About 10% of babies have them.
Tahlia has a bacterial infection and is now on antibiotics to clear it up... the amazing thing is that after just 2 doeses of antibiotic, she was feeling better. Horray! :) The doctor said that it's almost like a UTI. :( No wonder she was in so much pain.
Now Tahlia and Sean are over the flu and Reuben and I have it. It really sucks. :( My head is all cloudy and gross. It's lunch time here so am going to make something. Don't know what as I can't taste anything anyway! Grrr!
Reuben slept a bit longer last night, from 11pm until 5:45 :) Still not long, long but longer than what he's been going for the last couple of weeks. I hope he's starting a bit of a trend! Night feedings are starting to get *very* exhausting.
