I'm so jolly i could burst
I think I have wished everyone a merry merry and have had everyone wish me one as well. Now lets get on with it. I don't think I am very much a christmas person. Or even a christmas person at all really. I think I was in the past and I am not sure exactly what happened. But this year I really did not feel very christmasy at all. In fact I am quite anti-christmas. The lights the trees the decorations and all the commercialism has filled me to the brim with distaste. Gaudy yards and the phrase "makes a great gift" have killed the whatever little holiday spirit I had. We have a tree up in the living room and some lights up in the house but it seems an empty gesture.... enough.
tonight at work we have done as near to nothing as you can do and still get paid.
I hope all is well with each of you and I hope christmas was what you all wanted it to be.
I believe that i will be at the club next week. I am going to try to bring a friend or two. I am looking forward to getting back into a little bit of dancing. The basement of our new house will be finished (rumor has it)at the end of January. This means "THE BASEMENT" will be back. Different, but back. I will have a place to dance and a place to watch and even a snack bar. I am very excited. I am also very tired and very familiar with my hammer and various power tools. Finishing a basement is not as easy as you might think. Specially with all the stuff we put into this basement.
lastly: solitaire on the computer is like crack when you are board and there is nothing else.
