♥ Not much going on here on this Labour Day. The kids go back Thursday, though Kindergarten (the age group I work with) has a staggered start until next week. My brother, who is a Vice Principal, was asking me about my job hunt and he told me that he had almost 100 people apply for one teaching position, and he has to interview applicants who are permanent or on the long-term assignment (LTA) list. I believe it is the same with the ECE positions. So unless something changes in the next week or so, I'll be back on the supply list. There are benefits to that - I go to different schools, meet different people, and make connections. I'm hoping a virtual position opens up.
♥ The final season of Lucifer is being released on Friday. I'm ready and not ready. I'm excited to see how these last 10 episodes play out but nervous about the ending. Saying that, I trust the writers. It drops at 3am so I'll be awake then, though when 5B dropped in May I barely slept lol. I'm not sure if I'll watch all episodes on Friday. I saw warnings from screeners to pace ourselves because it's a lot to take in and of course it'll be emotional. I'm not ready to say goodbye to this show.
♥ Next weekend my friends Mary and Mike, the ones who got married in July, are putting on a picnic in a park in Toronto for friends. I'm going, but social events make me extremely anxious and I shut down. There is a possibility Keith's sister will be there, and if she is and she says hi to me I'll say hi back but that's it. I'm already on edge about being around a bunch of people I don't know. Social gatherings just aren't my jam. I don't plan on staying for a long time but I love Mike and Mary, so I'm going for them.
