dreamt last night that cindi had another foal - a chestnut colt with a blaze. he was zara's twin, born 39 days after her (which would mean 390 days of gestation). i'm pretty sure that's impossible. horses can gestate as long as 400 days (or as little as 300 days - the longest healthy gestation on record is 414 and the shortest is like 297), but i don't think there's any record of twins being born separately from one another. in cindi's individual case, she was palpated and ultrasounded many, many times to be sure she wasn't carrying twins anyway. (in cases of twinning, both babies and the mare usually die.) so i don't think this could be a premonitionary dream. interesting, though. especially since all three of them were healthy at the end of it.
