(no subject)
So earlier I made a resolution to not be all mopey, right? Yeah, by 1:00 I was all mopey again. But luckily, through no effort of my own, my day is ending on a better note.
Earlier I had mentioned to Dan that I was going to be lonely after the move, with everyone on vacation, being in a new place and so on. So today he did the sweetest thing -- he brought me his Sigmund Freud bobble, so that I would have someone to talk to. It may be small, but it was very thoughtful. See, this is why. Anyway, shhh, here's a secret...I'm really glad that Dan came to work at IPS. And Kenny. And Steve. Not because they're talented (they are), but because they are wonderful people that I feel privileged to know.
And then...
I scrambled home, took a quick shower and ran over to pick up swank76. We went to dinner at the faux Chipotle, I got to walk in the rain with no shoes, and we half-jokingly made plans to go to Prague. Later we rented a movie, realized that we've been watching Beavis and Butthead for 10 years, and had an adventure driving to his apartment on the nearly-flooded Bradley Avenue.
So horray for people helping me when I need it. I don't admit it often, but it's nice to know that when I do, they listen.
