So, I've been lazy recently, failing to make any posts and to write about anything important happening in my life. I've had a fairly reticent about the comings and goings in my life and I want to change that today.
So, first off. My christmas went well. I had some issues with my brother and sister-in-law being in town, but I survived. I also found out that they are going to apparently ask me to be the godfather of their child... so watch out for Godfather David, coming soon... I'll make you an offer you can't refuse!
Two, I make no new years resolutions, BUT I do plan on once again attempting to start a running regiment some point this year. This will be like the fifth time since I graduated from W&M that I have decided to do this concept at a new year.
Three. Caps are coming to town on Monday the 16th. One week from today until my Favorite Team is here. I can't wait to watch AO (Alexander Ovechkin for the uninformed) play. He'd better score so I can see it live and in person!
Four. I get to begin my career as a teacher! According the the phone call I recieved from ASU late last week, they have offically accepted me into their ITC(Initial Teaching Certificate) Program. YAY!! I have to attend an informational orientation and to sign up for classes on friday of this week. Classes should start a week from tomorrow! We-hah! I guess good grades and hard (well, mostly hard) work do pay off, seeing as they weren't willing to even consider me earlier this year. I guess once they saw that I was getting good grades they realized I'm not as dumb as my grades from W&M suggest I am. Who knows. But it is good news, perhaps the best news I've had in a long long time.
Lastly, I'm thinking of making a trip to VA sometime during the month of June. When my brother and sister-in-law have the christening for the baby (in which I accept the duties as Godfather) I will obviously make the trip to VA for that. And I'm thinking of making it a mini-vacation. I'll spend a few days with my family, then go and visit all of my friends that live in VA and around Richmond, spcifically, since I've got more of you all now than when I lived in VA. Classes will be done by then, so I'll take a week or two off from work to make the trip. And I can finally get my stuff out of storage in VA and send it out here, either by UHaul or UPS. But I'll go into more detail on this when I have more time and knowledge about whats going on. You all better make time in your schedule for me!
Thats all for now! Keep tuned for more info later...
