Under way
Left the house for good last night. After almost 14 hours of packing, cleaning, and repairs. Nothing like cramming everything into one day. Finished the final load up and things were tight. I'm currently carrying all of my normal stuff, plus 3 boxes of stuff for friends, 1 box for family, a stack of books roughly the size of an entire set of encyclopedias, and a 40 pound bag of dog food. Got out of town around 10:30pm. Very easy Sunday night drive out of Atlanta. No traffic or construction delays. Amazingly exhausted but no problems staying awake because I was super excited to be done and finally on the road. So many little things that I had been meaning to do around the house finally got done, only to have someone else moving in. Got to Savannah around 3am and it was just starting to rain. Had to hurry up and unload the car and get everything into Grandma's house before the lightning got me. All seemed to work out. Looks like my travel storage system is going to work out, but it is really hard to say when there is so much extra crap I'm hauling around right now. For now I took today to recuperate and lay around catching up on all the stuff I had been neglecting for the past couple weeks...like video games and emails. ;) Tomorrow weather is going to be nice and I'm going to jump on my bike and go do some touring of Savannah GA on the ground.
