There are a lot of great websites out there concerning various aspects of writing fanfiction, anything from fandom specific details to 'how to write a sex scene'. However, I have yet to come across a site where you can actually ask the writers questions. When I first started writing fanfiction I remember wishing I could ask other authors questions, get advice and insider tips from them. I'd like to have something more personal than a list of FAQs or what we believe to be FAQs.
Every other week (or less or more often, depending on the response we get) we'll have an Ask The Authors post where you can ask the writers any question you like (answering personal questions is, of course, completely optional). Every Q&A will be hosted by a different author, that way we will have a wide range of genres, pairings and styles.
The newest Q&A will be posted with a quick introduction of the author and then you are free to ask away, anything from "What's the best advice you can give on writing Holmes POV?" to "What was the first pairing you shipped?" and the respective author will answer you.
This idea is supposed to help authors improve, hear other authors' opinions and get to know each other better, however I do ask you to keep it mostly Sherlock Holmes related. Any questions authors do not feel comfortable with or do not want to answer may be skipped, answering any and all kinds of personal questions is entirely optional and intentionally offensive questions will be deleted.
Everybody is more than welcome to participate, whether you are new to the fandom or have been writing for it for a long time! If you are interested, please PM me. ♥
