Delia asked, I answer

1. If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?
In fantasy world, I would move to Westendorf, Austria. Absolutely the most beautiful place I've ever been. Coming back to Earth a little bit, I would have to say Princeton, because it's reasonably close to my job, my friends, and a little bit closer to Lauda! as well. And it's a cute town, you can't deny.

2. If the Braves disbanded and went bankrupt(ha!), who would you end up supporting?
What a terrible thought. Well, I guess I'd have to go with either the Baltimore Orioles because they were my mom's favorite team when she was young (although if I was an Orioles fan I would have given up on baseball a loooooong time ago), or the Red Sox, simply because I felt like I had to pick a side in the whole "Yankees vs. Red Sox" debate and it DEFINITELY wasn't going to be the Yankees.

3. Give me your thoughts on the current season of American Idol. Any early favorites?
Melinda Doolittle. Give her the crown right now. My favorite guy is Blake, the beatboxer. I also like Lakisha Jones, but I'm afraid she's going to remind us all too much of Mandisa (and I'm NOT just talking about her weight).

4. VH1 is beginning the quizzes for their Pop Culture Challenge (they actually are). Who's on your team?
Well, it's got to be you and Nick. I think the three of us made a pretty formidable force when we were watching it last year. You for the literary and dramatic TV categories (automatically you for the DeGrassi category), Nick for the movies and classic rock categories, and me for the 80s/90s music categories. So, where do we sign up?

5. How did you get into Pearl Jam?
You can thank my mom for that. In the early 90s, I was still in a "I love Def Leppard/Guns N Roses/Poison" mode, and my mom saw the Even Flow video and was like, "Hey, they're pretty good. I'm going to buy you their tape," and I was like, "Sure, but I don't know if I'll be into it." Well, I was into it, especially Black and the Jeremy video, but they still weren't my favorite band. Then, the Vs. album came out (the one with Daughter and Elderly Woman...) and it changed my life. I heard that Pearl Jam was donating a portion of the money from their album sales to a foundation that benefitted Rett's Syndrome, because their manager (or someone) had a daughter with the disease. That affected me, because I have a cousin with Rett's.
