i realized in all my feeling sadness and talking to adamness last night that i forgot to mention how my first night at work went. for those of you who don't know, i am working at oakmont gardens. it is a living facility in oakmont (retirment community for those 55 and older) and the average resident age is 85. there are three meals served a day and we are responsible for caring for the dining room and the residents. i must admit i like my job way better than the old one. reasons why:
=not as faced paced
=customer clientel is regular and 99% is amazingly nice
=all of the boys are heck of funny
=sandy is the nicest boss ever
=the environment is great
=everything is constructive criticism
=pay is good for starters
=i don't feel bad when i clock out
=everyone is important
as far as the employees:
=carlos is totally the sweetest guy in the world and so helpful
=jeremias is kind of quiet and looks like a hispanic rockabilly boy (very cool)
=jorge is an eager helper and way funny (i think allison said he's the pothead)
=kyle is learning just like i am and very personable
=dorsey is incredibly nice and does not leave me at a lack for conversation
=jesus is te hilarious eager one and quite the flirt (reminds me of arnulfo)
=brian is laid back and always smiling
=i don't remember the rest of the names but they're all great people i promise
