Hmm. This piece of Transfiguration homework is really quite absorbing, but I'm pausing to write in my journal. I'm already two rolls of parchment over the set amount, so I'm nearly finished anyway.
I've been doing a lot of research on the theory of Advanced Potions. It's definitely a subject I like, really it reminds me of Chemistry in primary school. Mixing minute amounts of things can have a huge reaction, and complications. I've been reading the books I bought at Christmas, in Diagon Alley, and there are so many Potions theorists that I could base a final project on. The problem is, the really complex theorists, where it would be hard work to figure out their strategies, and follow the minutiae of their experiments, are all in the Restricted Section. And we all know what SNAPE would do if I asked for permission to go and look. Laugh, probably. Oh well. Hopefully Anthony knows of some who are less...ridiculous, and more interesting.
Everyone in Gryffindor - I'm sorry I..had a go at Snape for being an utterly biased prat lost us those points.
I'm not, whatever anyone says, going to use what power I've been given as a Prefect to push things into our way. So Malfoy - I apologise for whatever impression I gave. The loss of points I meted out to Sally-Anne Perks was based on what I thought would work as a punishment, NOT a result of the general Gryffindor-Slytherin hostilities. I want, and I think the school needs to learn to co-operate. I'm going to ask if Dumbledore knows of anything the Prefects can do to encourage inter-house-unity, and I hope Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff agree that it's a wise thing to do.
I hope Harry is feeling better. And that he catches up with his Charms work, it's vital that our notes are in order as we start getting properly into revision. Ron, I suppose, congratulations on the job. Why didn't you tell me? Are we so far apart now that you didn't tell me about it? I hope you're having fun!
I should get back to Transfiguration.
