Treasure 1 review on Amazon.com:
"This book consists of the first part of the story Treasure, a short story and a preview (and quite a few advertisments for other yaois). The story Treasure itself is really good and the drawings are absolutely stunning and even keep improving throughout the story. And as I also love Age of Sail novels, this yaoi was right up my alley. Imagine Jack Sparrow of Pirates of the Caribbean meets Jack Aubrey of Master & Commander. :)
Patrick and Alan are two navy sailors on the H.M.S. Sacrament and the two are deeply in love with each other. Even though they keep their relationship a secret, a fellow lieutenant finds out about them and as he is jealous of Alan, he shoots Alan in the back during a battle with the crew of pirate captain Bergardoux. The wounded Alan is captured by the pirates as the pirates withdraw after the battle.
Over time Alan starts to relish the pirate life and thus becomes part of their crew. And when fate brings Alan and Patrick together again, they face each other as enemies....
The short story is about a young boy, who is choosen to be a sacrifice to the god Rithe. But it turns out that the life as a sacrifice isn't that bad. The short story is quite nice, but the drawings are not as good as those in Treasure. But the story Treasure would be worth buying this book alone, so the short story is a nice add-on."
Treasure 2 review on Amazon.com :
"This book consists of the second part of the story Treasure and a preview for another yaoi. The second part of the story Treasure is just as good as the first one was and the drawings again are fantastic. I really loved this yaoi and are only sad that until now there are only two parts in this series.
Alan has become the Captain of the pirate ship Adventurer, after the former Captain Bergardoux has died, and he has also convinced Patrick to join them. Together they lead a very successful and even pretty much nonviolent pirate life.
But the ghost of Captain Bergardoux and his affair with Alan become a strain for their relationship and that Alan is still anxious to revenge Captain Bergardoux's death doesn't help either. As Alan's revenge plan includes a confrontation with the infamous and very dangerous pirate Van Holstein, it is essential that they face him together. But can they overcome the obstacles in their way?
I can very much recommend the Treasure series as a very good and funny story with beautiful drawings.
Oh, God, this made our day. *_______________*"
