I've been meaning to update for a long time, but, you know, graduate school is kind of demanding and stuff. It definitely puts a damper on my time.
So, as most of you know, I've been through my first blizzard. It hasn't snowed in almost a week and there's still snow on the ground from last time, which should tell you two things: a) about how much snow we actually got in the blizzard and b) how cold it's been here. (The answer? Too cold. It's about 19 degrees tonight. This thanksgiving, I will be giving thanks for central heat in my apartment.)
As most of you also know, my birthday was this past weekend. Michael flew in Saturday morning to see me. We had the best time ever. And I do mean ever. He took me to a nice fancy dinner that evening and later we met up with my friends Sarah and Justin to see a bluegrass concert, which was actually pretty decent. Fun to dance to, at least. The best part? The show was also a Halloween party and we saw some amazing outfits. My birthday (and my life, possibly) was made complete by seeing an elf and a slutty cowgirl dance suggestively to bluegrass music on top of some speakers. Also: on Sunday, we went to
Casa Bonita, which you may have heard of the
same way that we did. It's pretty much exactly what you might expect. Only weirder.
Also of note: I received Veronica Mars Season 2 for my birthday. Does that kid know me or what?
