Yea! For the first time in a decade, a new 9 Chickweed Lane book by Brooke McEldowney is available! Edie Ernst: USO Singer, Allied Spy (2011) can now be ordered directly from Pib Press.
9 Chickweed Lane has been my favorite in-production comic strip for several years now, surpassing even Doonesbury. It's been an ongoing disappointment that only one very limited collection of its strips, Hallmarks of Felinity -- with only strips starring Solange the cat, none starring the human cast -- had previously been published, and was long out of print. You can find 9 Chickweed Lane online at comics.com, and there's a good introduction on the venerable unofficial tribute page. (If you get interested, I can supply a few key dates for the start of storylines to feed into comics.com and read forward from.) If your local paper newspaper carries the strip, praise them for it. :-)
