Friday's Moonlight episode ("12:04 AM") made another significant style swing. Last week, they reined in some of the explanatory voice-over narration (as compared with precedent, and with the closed captioning). This week, they toned down dialogue, too, with a plethora of wordless scenes overlain by songs, and also scenes with some dialogue in the captioning but not in the audio.
I'm still watching, but I'm afraid my experience is still largely the urge to redesign, redirect and oh! re-edit.
(They keep pulling the punch of Big Lines with "all I know is" and other such softeners.) I'm not getting it yet, but I'll keep trying.
Title Tidbit: I think I bumped into the reason they re-titled it from Twilight to Moonlight. Apparently, there is a bestselling series of preteen vampire novels called Twilight, and
a movie based on them is presently casting.
