Конкурс DEFINING A CREATIVE HUB в рамках программы Master in Urban Vision and Architectural Design

A Creative Hub can be defined as a space that induce Creative Thinking, which is a combination of creativity, curiosity and communication. A place, real or virtual, where designers meet ordinary people to bring creative influences and creative acts. A Creative Hub has the ambition to create and enhance every local resource that can attract creative brains in a specific territory. In today’s scenario, every global city is competing with each other to build creative hubs, which are also architectural masterpieces, developed according to local needs of region. But real needs are difficult to be identified and they change from region to region.
Urban Vision and Architectural Design Department would like to test your talent and urban vision skills with an experimental contemporary subject.Candidates are requested to submit a design project for a Creative Hub that meets the need of the selected area, explaining the reasons of their choice and the functional programme identified. The candidates can consider the questions below, which are gathered as a research influence on the subject of Creative Hub and its functions, starting from a global to local critical aspects, daily or timeless design matter and context. The answers can be descriptive or drawn by a schematic analysis, aiming to understand different territorial scales and meanings of this concept to define a meta-project concept or graphic vision explaining every possible operation in a global/local panorama. In your design proposal you have to define the area, dimensions, functional program and architectonical tipology.

Конкурс ARS SUTORIA в рамках программы Master in Accessories Design

Domus Academy, centre of excellence in Italian Design and Fashion education, and Ars Sutoria, the most prestigious historical Institute of technical specialization in leather goods and shoes, have agreed for the second consecutive year on a partnership based on the didactics of the Master in Accessories Design at Domus Academy in 2011, making the most of the different characteristics and experiences to provide students with a unique path of excellence.
The two institutes decided to hold a competition for the Master in Accessories Design 2011 to give two young professional talents the chance to win two scholarships covering respectively 70% (first prize) and 30% (second prize) of the total registration fee.

Конкурс FASHION BRAND HUNTER в рамках программы Master in Fashion Management

In a global market increasingly dynamic, increasingly fierce and competitive, Fashion Companies are constantly looking for managers trained and sensitive to the issues of fashion and to the new instances of ethics and sustainability of the sector. New Managers able to capture and transform the innovative ideas of designers into successful products. With the Master Course in Fashion Management, Domus Academy has taken up this challenge developing, in close collaboration with leading professionals and with the most prestigious Italian and international fashion realities, a training course aimed at raising a new generation of fashion professionals rich in both managerial expertise and sensitivity to this creative sector.
Domus Academy is pleased to launch an international competition for the Master in Fashion Management 2011, in order to give to two young talents the chance to win a scholarship which will allow them to join this training program of excellence.
AUDIENCE The international competition Fashion Brand Hunter addresses young people who’re willing to enter the Fashion sector, who wish to develop a brand starting their own activity, who aspire to become product manager or brand manager, who’re interested to work in marketing and communication fields, who want to pursue a career as fashion buyers, trendsetters, merchandising manager, visual merchandiser, fashion stylist.
BRIEF Candidates must identify, in their country of origin, a new product line or a young emerging fashion brand in clothing or accessories or jewelry fields, in which they recognize a great potential for development and success. They will then justify their choice by developing a project for the line or the brand chosen, illustrating: strengths, potential targets, potential distribution channels- traditional or e-commerce - and communications strategies.

Конкурс FASHION GLOCAL - DRESSING CODE в рамках программы Master in Fashion Design

The ninth edition of the competition organized by Domus Academy and Future Concept Lab with the support of Deborah Milano Group, Dressing Codes, changes and proposes new challenges: to investigate the sense of feminine (and not only) beauty, drawing on the culture and on the roots of one’s own country of origin, with the aim of proposing a Fashion approach. In a more and more interconnected and globalized world, the signals born in different places have specific features related to the different genius loci, but they are read in a more general frame in contexts such as Fashion. In fact, in the Fashion world, the communication and the perception of taste and of aesthetic sensitivity run through common tracks. The objective of this edition of the contest is that of creating proposals within the Fashion area for the brand Deborah Milano, starting from one’s own identity.
Participation The competition is open to all people who have acquired a studying and/or working experience in the clothing/accessory field and who are interested in attending Domus Academy Master in Fashion Design or in Accessories Design 2011 (January - december).
