DEATH EATER ATTACKS ON THE RISE?
Recent London attack adds more names to the death toll
An attack on London last night, the scale of which has not been seen before, is raising alarm all throughout the wizarding community. Millicent Bagnold, Minister of Magic has been quoted as saying it was ‘truly horrific, a testament to the depravity of these terrorists’. So far thirteen deaths have been confirmed with several more missing, presumed dead.
It began around seven o’clock when half a dozen masked figures entered Richmond Park. They held out their wands clearly, not bothering to disguise themselves. According to our sources, a muggle attacked first, aiming a kick to one of the figures who responded by casting an unforgivable at the civilian. After the first death, panic spread across the area. Although many tried to escape, the masked men’s ranks just seemed to swell. There was an estimated forty Death Eaters at the scene, though You Know Who did not make an appearance.
Approximately ten minutes of mayhem passed before a handful of Aurors arrived. Spells were exchanged and as enforcements poured in more of the Death Eaters seemed to retreat. At least three of the Death Eaters were badly wounded; some ministry specialists are examining the blood work, hoping for hints as to the killer’s true identities.
Another body, mutilated by what appears to be some very simple spell work, was found near the site but curiously does not appear to be related to the attack. However, Aurors remain convinced that it was also a Death Eater related crime.
The ministry has released this statement over concerns of the heinous breach in secrecy last night; “A cover up is in place but things are currently very volatile between our worlds. Everyone is encouraged to exercise caution and not to raise suspicions.”
Aurors are still on the look out for any suspicious characters and we ask that anyone with information step forward and help eradicate this threat once and for all.
