As usual, im supposed to be studying but oh well. it's better to post an entry than memorize stuff such as Emile Durkheim, WEB Dubios and other names i can't even pronounce. HAHA. im taking sociology and philosophy and it's like deja vu every single day since its EXACTLY THE SAME as the subjects I took in La Salle. It's similar to the point that the book is the same. how cool.
one day, our philo teacher brought his kids to class. The girl was 3 or 4 years old and the boy was 5 or 6. they are the cutest!! the girl was just writing on the board and her brother would erase what she was writing. brothers! Then, when they got bored with the board, they started to climb up the teacher's table. it was funny! they were trying to finds ways to get to the top of the table and they did. what did they do? they stood up on the table. haha. crazy kids. they did all that while our prof was attempting to discuss the difference of valid, strong, weak, good or bad arguments. If you ask me the difference, KROO. i was too busy paying attention to the cute kiddos. obviously, their attention span kicked in and they started asking their daddy when they could home. i was actually waiting for them to do that so that he can let us out early. LUCKY FOR US, he did! funny talaga. i guess he couldnt find a babysitter. =|
we were also discussing vague or ambiguous arguments and he gave us funny examples. these are real headlines in the newspaper:
1.) Prostitutes appeal to the Pope.
haha. that sounds REALLY wrong.
2.) Judges appear more lenient on crack.
does it mean that when the judges are on drugs they are more lenient? or they are more lenient on cases that involve crack and drugs. crazzzzy talaga. i guess its obvious which one is meant but you never know.
3.) tips on how to prevent headaches after you die
Wow, you can get headaches after you die?!?!
i love my classes. thank God for that! it makes up for the summer heat! whats weird is that you dont sweat but the sun burns. OUCH! im glad there are four seasons here. =))
