When Sam asked for chocolate earlier, Bar unexpectedly gave him something like treble the quantity he was expecting.
Not one to refuse good chocolate, he'd immediately looked around for Atton. Not seeing him, he decided to try Atton's room instead.
--Just in time to hear Atton yelp.
The door to the room is locked, but that's hardly a problem to someone of Sam's abilities. He shoves his hand against the lock, there's a loud crack of a click... and Sam drops the chocolate to run to him.
Atton doesn't seem to notice, this though - He barely acknowledges Sam, instead sitting back with his eyes screwed shut and clutching his shoulder. He may be trembling a bit.
"She shot me." He sounds betrayed, and rather disbelieving. "I thought - I thought ... and things were going t'be okay, yeah? But she shot me, and ..."
He's aware that he doesn't sound very sane or very coherent, so he forces himself to be quiet, leaning against Sam. He's had blaster wounds to the shoulder before - They never hurt this much, never have the same piercing, eye-watering and unrelenting pain to them.
He clutches his shoulder a little tighter, wincing.

"Shhh shhh shhh," he murmurs distractedly against Atton's neck, pulling him close. "It's all right, Atton."
