After everything that's happened, Will's been sitting in the trees a lot lately, Molly hasn't come through her door, the coin is spread around but he got his friends hurt.

When he sees Atton beating up the trees, he doesn't approach at first, just says quietly,

"Atton, will just 'urt yer 'ands, 'eavy bag works better."

"Force." Atton says simply, without looking at Will, and continues beating up the tree.

(Because that's totally an adequate explanation.)

Will debates coming out of his tree, but Atton's beating up another one, so he just sits for a bit, feeling that he's failed someone else somehow,

"Would it 'elp to spar with me, probably deserve it after leadin' ye all into such trouble."

"We knew what we were going into. I presume everybody did, anyway," Atton says, flatly, and doesn't answer Will's question. After a moment: "How is he?" He assumes that Will will know who he means.
