my new year

So, since Tiff so nicely reminded me that I haven't posted in forever, I decided to humor her and fill you guys in on my exciting (ha) life.

Really fast - Christmas break was really nice. Seriously, it was lots of fun. I got to see my friends quite a bit, and it was so relaxing. I definitely enjoyed it. But enough about that, cause that seems like forever ago.

Right now I'm at the coffee house, and it's so amazing. I had some coffee and I'm on the wireless internet, and I seriously can't think of a better combination. But it's been pretty productive. I caught up on my e-mails, and random whatnots, and picture postings, which I seriously added about 10 million pictures, since it's been so long. So that should make a few of you happy. :)

First of all, I'd like to make a quick rant about my classes. So I'm taking 17 hours this semester, which in itself wouldn't be too bad. But really 1 is a 4 hour class that only counts as 3, so really it's more like 18. Then after you figure in my clinicals, which are about 8 hours a week (from 7-11am on Thursdays and Fridays), that now puts me at 26 hours. Then I'm working 7 hours a week. And...do you get the point? I'm gonna be psycho busy.

But this first week has been pretty slow, so I've been living it up. (Haha, you know, living it up Hillary style is sooooo exciting, let me tell you...or not). Like this weekend, on Friday we (Marisa, Rachel, and I) went to a house party, that was actually a ton of fun. Then Saturday we went to Pittsburgh because Rachel got Marisa and me Christmas presents, so we decided to take her out to dinner, and she really wanted Indian food. And there's no Indian food around here, so we took a little field trip. The food was pretty nasty, but they liked it, and I'm just too picky, but that didn't matter, cause it was lots of fun. Then we just chilled in my room and watched Pretty Woman (Sarah was out of town all weekend, so we had a sleepover in my room). Then Sunday I just chilled all day, and then that night (Monday morning, technically), we left for Washington DC. We took a bus that wasn't too terribly bad on the way there. It was only about 6 hours. So we got there pretty early, did a little bit of sight-seeing, then went to the March for Life, a pro-life march in DC around the capital, since it was recently the 33rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade. It was crazy. There were, I think I heard, over 30,000 people there for it. So it was awesome. (Our school alone took 10 buses, plus lots of students drove themselves cause they were smart and didn't want to ride on a cramped, smelly bus for hours and hours). So the day went really fast, and before I knew it, we were already back on the bus heading back to Steubenville (we left DC around 6pm, so we spent about a total of 12 hours there). I was soooo glad I went though, cause it was definitely an amazing experience. Then it was back to classes for me. Last night, we decided to live it up some more, and went to Rooney's to go dancing, even though we had 9:00 classes this morning. Lol. Sometimes, I just *love* being a college student. But now classes are starting to pick up, and get crazy. I already have 2 major tests in 2 weeks, which, when I think about it, isn't very long at all. So soon I'll be studying hard again, and definitely wishing that I had more free time.

Okay, I realize that was a crappy entry, considering I haven't posted in 8 weeks or something ridiculous like that. But sorry. Anyways...I'm going home this weekend (cause I have a follow-up dentist appointment tomorrow for my wisdom teeth, plus Laura's gonna come home too). Then next weekend, my Grandma, Aunt, and cousin are coming to take me gambling in West Virginia, so that should be fun. And I'm planning a trip to Columbus soon. And then in between all that, I have to go to class. Such a drag. Oh well. I think it's gonna be a good semester. Cause I'm finally learning real nursing stuff. Clinicals start this Thursday. Yikes. So wish me luck. And if you're ever bored, call me for a chat. I miss you guys.
