(no subject)
You know how LJ can send you email reminders about your friends' birthdays? Well, I have an email from December 2012 sitting there unread reminding me to wish Jules, and I still keep looking at it thinking, "Oh, yeah, I've got to get around to that," as though it came a few weeks ago or something. Around November of this year I started getting embarrassed.
My computer quit remembering my password, and it's a pain to type, so I wasn't even lurking this time (during my most recent absence from LJ, I mean). Wow, lurking. I totally don't use that word anymore. I read a book called Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, about a uber-introverted uberfic-writer going off to college, and it was so spot-on about so many things I hadn't thought about in a really long time, and used words like lurking, and I bet it would resonate with pretty much everyone on here.
Anyway, life is pleasant, if different from what I expected. Happy 2014 everyone, and happy birthday to Jules (2012 and 2013). Mission accomplished.
