being tired and trying to update an online journal at the same time is just too hard. too hard indeed. my sentences seem too incoherent but i haven't updated in a while (oh how i love how everyone starts out their journal entries, "haven't updated in a while") and i know how everyone is on the edge of their seats waiting in anticipation for my next entry. so here it is.
summer has begun and each and every day i wake up to the realization that i am now a senior IN HIGH SCHOOL. though i tried not to belive it, taking my senior picture today somehow made it final that i was soon to become a senior; or worse closer to graduating from poly, and actually getting a life, becoming a member of society.
well besides waking up to that, i also wake up every morning (monday thru friday) to two hours of dawson's creek and one full hour of saved by the bell. three hours a day, chalk full of entertainment value! tbs finally got it right when they decided to air these two wonderful shows back to back each and every weekday. waking up to the love triangle of dawson, joey and pacey and lying in bed watching the gang at the max, is more than one can handle.its one giant emotional roller coaster. but being the entertainment diva i am, i enjoy the ride.
my yearly vegas trip was fun to say the least. it was an especially fun time when my mom pulled up my skirt in front of some japanese tourist on the strip. i was also a party when my mom grabbed a porn/whore book from a mexican man who was giving them out to all the men who walked down the stip, only to confuse him in german when he tried to grab it back. vegas to my family always means getting fatter and walking down the strip in unbearable heat. this trip didnt dissapoint. after eating a a buffet a day, sometimes twice, it was safe to say that my family only gained about 5 pounds each, since we sweated most of it off during the day walking thousands of miles down the strip in 100 degree weather.
i've been to one and a half concerts already this summer. i know what your thinking. one AND A HALF? what in the world could she possible mean by that. well let me start off my explanation by saying the one part was the 311 concert i went to for my birthday. my uncle got me and my cousin tickets to go and i invited allison (hey boo!) while my cousin took her boyfriend chris. though i'm not an avid 311 listener or fan, i enjoyed myself. i espcially enjoyed myself when everyone around me and allison would blow pot smoke in our faces. and you know it wouldnt be a 311 concert without some form of erotic humping practically right on top of me. and knowing my luck it happened to be a fat couple, with their flubber flubbing around while each hump intensefied to the music, becoming more and more gag worthy. 311 had a nice set but the roots, their opening act brought down the house. anyone who was on i love the 80's would bring down any house. the half part of my phrase would refer to me, oliva, evan and james trying to go to the no doubt/blink 182 concert. we all got into the car happy and estatic over what the night was soon going to bring us. little did we know that after four and a half hours in a bmw on the 15 we would have to turn around sad and angered. the trip seemed easy, only one hour in the car, maybe a little more for traffic, but not that much. oh how we were suprised that back to back traffic would take us four and a half hours to get two miles before the venue! we didnt even get to see the venue! i guess the fact that wwe bonded with the freeway made up for some of it. not all, just some. after a few hours in the car, we became hungry (which is totally the understatement of the year, more like starving!)but being the cunning and witty person i am, i decided to ask people on the freeway, waiting in the traffic with us, for food. though majority said no two cars produced half a taco bell apple pie and a sandwitch. A WHOLE SANDWITCH. that sandwitch was probably the best thing i have ever eaten in my life. after talking to the freeway about how they were doing, if they were going to the concert and what else, but the traffic, we were faced witht he situation of no gas. we were on empty. two miles before the venue, we were forced to get on a exit ramp and go to a gas station. after fighting off cars and passing people peeing on the side of the road, we got to a gas station filled up and decided not to go to the concert rather nourish ourselves with jack in the box. driving home from our adventure i realized that i had a great time, true seeing no doubt and blink 182 would have been an awesome experience, i had fun bonding with the freeway and the people in the car that i was stuck with for four and a half hours. it was an experience i probably will never forget and also made this summer memorable already.
after typing for almost a half an hour, i ve decided to keep everyone still on the edge of their seats, somewhat. though that wasnt everything i wanted to include in this entry, i'm too tired to go on. i also feel that this entry has a weird tone, due to my lack of sleep. seeing spiderman 2 and drinking awesome blended moca's took all my energy for tonight.
