i love this university. and i love the people who run it. and i love lots of the people who attend here. just wanted to say that.
also, i want to say that i miss burlington, but not in any sort of homesick sense. what i miss is really just an abstract sense of what burlington used to be. i miss that burlington. i realized earlier today that no non-family-member has ever come to visit me here. i know it's a long way, but i'm pretty confident that no one ever will. it's kind of a sad story; i'm hurting for that community where i would have been visited. oh well - so it goes. i'm attending one of the nation's most kick-ass universities and am loving it; that should suffice.
the week before last, one of my colleagues said to me, "i think you're more anal than you let on."
