So, if I take their deal I don't have to pay the $630 for speeding & jeremy not having insurance, but I get a mandatory night in jail followed by 88 days probation and a $300 fine. I didn't know you went to jail for a first offense having a couple bowls on you, but, guess you do. This all doesn't start until September, though. There are a few things on my mind facing this charge, one being that the jail time and probation won't be that bad. Instead of smoking things that get me high I'll be smoking things which intensify dreams, and drinking fine beers from around the world. Long break will do me good anyway. Another thing on my mind is the conservation corps in Oregon I'm going to be doing from the 30th of this month until the 3rd of September. Hopefully that will turn out as good of an experience as I am imagining. Wonder what book(s) I should bring.
Another thing on my mind is wanting to somehow support the message of ending the marijuana prohibition. I'm not really whining about my situation, because it's not so bad ... but it is unjust and there are so many fucked up cases than mine. A couple bowls ... a harmless, recreational, nonviolent, everyday thing. Now I get to pay them $300, spend a night in jail and a few months of probation, lose my driver's license for a year, and of course face strong prejudice when looking for a job for the next decade. Why do we give our government the power to meddle in our lives and encumber us when we have done no wrong? I just don't see a purpose here. Do you? My case is just a small thing, but what about someone who grows a couple plants for personal use? Not some kid, a responsible adult that isn't stupid and is no threat to anyone. They would face a decade in prison for that. Ridiculous.
Anyway I need to go run errands so I'm cutting this short. Peace
