Migrating to a Wordpress based blog

Nov 02, 2009 11:03

For a long time my interaction with LJ has been via the stsquad_real account which was a syndicated feed from my own web site. However it's a system that has been brittle in the past and has been broken for the last few weeks. I've taken the opportunity to migrate my old Personal Weblog based blog to Wordpress which, amongst other things, allows me to host comments without being flooded in SPAM.

People comfortable with reading multiple blogs via RSS probably want to head directly to my blog and subscribe to the RSS feed. You can even choose to subscribe to individual tag feeds if you don't for example want to read detailed discussions about emacs :-).

For people who only read blogs on LiveJournal then there will be a slight delay. Once LJ starts pulling posts from my site again (it's currently 3 posts behind) I'll code up a redirect on the old blog page so the stsquad_real gets updated from the new Wordpress stream.

Obviously I'll still be hanging around LJ to read other people and comment.
