Now, from the "No-Shit-Sherlock" Dept of Obviousness

I can't believe I've only now realized that Neko Case's "Pretty Girls" is about a "pregnancy crisis center" (i.e. Religious Right Scare-Tactic Misinformation Propaganda Assembly Line).

It must have been the little girl sitting in front of me in this building's food court - she had a church-shirt decorated on the back with a Tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil, complete with entwined Snake of the Garden and youthfully/casually-dressed figures of Adam and Eve. The emblem was given the slogan: "The Most Important Decision of Your Life!"

What? I thought the whole point of Original Sin was that you didn't have a choice about having it. Or was it about fucking? This was on a ten-year old. Maybe.

The girl's mom must have gotten weirded out that I was staring at the back of her daughter's shirt - so she got up and moved off. Couldn't help it, though, I really couldn't figure out what the message was supposed to be.
