What Makes Us Laugh
As part of 'keeping up on events', we have a bigscreen going in the office hooked up to a satellite receiver, usually set to CNN or Faux News, so we can be aware of any major news stories, like a major VBIED attack in Baghdad or the IDF-Gaza Flotilla interception. (And after watching that video, professionally speaking I have to say: You yahoos call that fast-roping? I've seen ciscus monkeys go down a rope faster than that!)
But tonight it was just me and SSG O SSG O and I, thank you dear, watching CNN showing something about the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Something on the 'Other Stories' crawl at the bottom caught my eye.
Me: "'Alligator enters Florida middle school.'.....Well, I guess he decided it was time to learn how to read.....or he was just looking for a little snack."
SSG O: "You mean a middle-sized snack."
Me: "Maybe. That would depend on how fat the kids are."
Yes, we do like our Dead Baby Jokes out here. Full Metal Jacket just keeps getting funnier every time I see it.
