there is no such thing as failproof

I apologize for the fact that all of my entries of late have been in the photograph-cut vein. Truthfully, life is just rather stagnant at the moment. Nothing terrible to report, but also nothing particularly noteworthy. I'm not sure if this is good or bad. It's a comfortable place, nonetheless, so I can't complain.

Last week, Drew went to the oral surgeon and had the top of his mouth ripped off. Exposing teeth that are developmentally three years behind schedule or something. Of course, normally he is the child that never speaks, but vicodin turns him into the most amiable, chatty person ever, despite the fact that none of the rest of us can understand 80% of what he's saying. Lovely. It's actually more gross than it sounds, I think. But I refuse to actually look.

Being home has been relaxing, but I am definitely ready to get back to the having something to do all the time atmosphere that is school. Even though I don't want to write my Kant paper. But Taryn and I are making stellar "no fail" sugar cookies tonight, so at least I'll be getting out and doing something besides laying around reading or watching tv.

And that's about all I have to report. Eagerly anticipating Sunday morning and seeing Britt and Margaret at the airport, then Anjuli, Jo, and Becky in California! Oooh, and maybe seeing Kelsey in the next few days?!

Life is good.
