Random, but: ONLY in my house would I go out to get the mail and see that we are subscribed to "Corn and Soybean Digest." And then be informed by my dad that the goats are doing well, but we have a calf with colic and the milk check was lower than usual this month. I forget sometimes how different a home life I have from most people. Oh, farming.
Anyways, not to completely echo Sam, but... home makes me revert back to being a kid. I partied Thursday and Friday nights, but it gets old after a while. There's a reason I didn't really enjoy it till college.
These last few days, however, I've slept in, gone shopping with all my siblings, read two books, cuddled with my cat, napped, watched Mary Poppins (I'm in love with Dick Van Dyke) and the Muppets' Christmas Carol (officially my favorite Christmas movie EVER), decorated our Christmas tree with my family, and babysat my 7-year-old neighbor. We played a video game, watched his favorite movie and played about a trillion games of Trouble. And I have been perfectly content.
I'm finally feeling the effects of the bad economy-- my boss told me today that she can't give me very many hours over break because business is so slow. I'm only bussing two nights this week. I'm disappointed, but I'm kind of happy to have some free time. I'll scrap some cash together somehow, but I'm enjoying the freedom for now.
I have bv story ideas buzzing around my head, and I'm anxious to find out my final GPA for this semester. But that's for a different post.
That's all for now. I know I'll be ready for Bona's by the beginning of January, but there's really no place quite like my house or people like my family. Yay for break. :)
