Today, my old day care provider sent me an email. It read "Hi, Kristy! I sent you this so you could do your own detective work!" Then the rest went a little something like this.
A very interesting bit of detective work...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Back in 1961 people of color were called ' Negroes .' So how can the Obama ' birth certificate ' state he is ' African-American ' when the term wasn't even used at that time?
2. The birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama's birth as August 4, 1961 . It also lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father. No big deal, right? At the time of Obama's birth, it also shows that his father is aged 25 years old, and that Obama's father was born in " Kenya, East Africa ." This wouldn't seem like anything of concern, except the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963 , two whole years after Obama's birth , and 27 years after his father's birth . How could Obama's father have been born in a country that did not yet exist? Up and until Kenya was formed in 1963 , it was known as the "British East Africa Protectorate."
3. On the birth certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is "Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital." This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called "KauiKeolani Children's Hospital" and "Kapi'olani Maternity Home," respectively. The name did not change to Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged. How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978?

Because it has been proven the average American voter is total dumb and could care less.!!!!!!!
Nothing gets my figurative goat more than the steaming pile of bull that this is. Do you really think that Barack Obama would have made it to the office of the president of the United States if there was so much as a typo on his birth certificate? Do you really think not one person would have caught that he was born in Africa, or was Muslim (God fricking forbid... it's not like this is America or anything)? Conversely, do you really think there's a conspiracy on that big of scale to smuggle a Muslim African dictator wannabe to the top to destroy whitness, Christianity and all things Americana?
The answer is no. If he wasn't born here, he wouldn't have been allowed to become president, because that's the constitution. Focus on something that freaking MATTERS. Anything. Anything but this.
This woman is one of the nicest, most caring people I've ever met. I replied that I believe 100 percent that our president is a citizen, but thank you for thinking of me. I then, after a few minutes of semi-controlled fuming, sent her
this, along with instructions to read till the very end, where every claim in her email is refuted and all of the article sources are listed-- sources like Associated Press, The Wall Street Journal, and the New York Times. Not Wikipedia. I couldn't help it.
Anyone who thinks Obama has created or worsened the mess we as a nation are in right now hasn't thought about it very hard. We were this dysfunctional beforehand, and we'd be in the same level of self-destruction if McCain or anyone else was in office. The selfish, arrogant, completely out-of-touch boobs that we call our Congressional representatives have made sure of that.
/end rant.
