Ahhhh
Just a little more time till I am on a ship in the caribbean, drinking and not having many cares in this world. Today will be a malestorm of packing, laundry & getting things together. Tonight I plan to go out to unwind and see my boy and then deal with the excitment and getting up at 2:30 in the morning . My plane leaves BWI at 6:25 am, ouch that hurts. But the paying of $170.40 per person is incentive enough.
I haven't been real talkative on here and a lot of other places for the simple fact, that I have been really busy. Ack have I been busy. No time for me, no time for much at all. I still love my job, I am realizing that I am really starting to hate stupid people. In the last 2 days we recieved from 1 person 25 cats. All barn cats that were never spayed & nuetered. WTF?!?!?!?! You care so much about them but can't even do a simple operation to cut down their numbers so now we have to deal with them. Fun. We saved half of them, I am so gonna hate to go in CAC tomorrow. The place is gonna be packed.
THen there is this new girl they hired. Not my managers faults, she never told them until she was hired that she couldn't read. Yeah, good times friends. I haven't dealt with her much, but after hearing the stories. Oh my god, it should be interesting. I am sorry I know it's none of your business but it says and whomever helped with the application never told her. Reading is a big part of what we do. We have to do incoming, outgoing, know who's where. You can't memorize where the animals are, we change that, all the time. Well, not all the time but enough that you remember where one animal was and they are someplace else, kind of hard.
A really cool thing that hapened yesterday was that I got to do some placement assements for the dogs. I got to do the tests to see if they are adoptable. It's really neat. I got to use the fake hand. all the dogs passed so that was cool. But currently we are really full in our dog room. WHy because a puppy mill was raided and we took in some of the dogs. We have some Cavilier Spaniels & some English bulldogs. These animals are so happy to recieve attention. It really breaks your heart, but they take a good bit of space.
