okay, here goes, again.
a whole fuckin lot of crap happens in one year....and a whole lot of nothingness, to be sure.
1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before? The answers to this question from last year were all about actions...this year its harder...the only one i can think of off the top of my head is that i was able to have a friend drive me around...no parents. that was a trip, to be sure. I think i've changed more permanently in this past year than any...yeah, thats it- this year i started to find out- vaguely, very vaguely- who i'm gonna be. Every year that goes by, the stuff that makes my head spin becomes more serious. last year, it could be a glance from a friend or some guy that i over-interpret...this year its more just worrying about my sanity...or a friend's insanity. It's all happening to us, now- those assuming laws of society we must go through once we turn 17. scares the shit out of me.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I never make any. I'll make goals for myself when need be. New Years isn't my self-improvement marker. (<< this is what i said a year ago. i stand by thatnow, too)
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? does a whole bunch of urban teachers count?
4. Did anyone close to you die? no, god forbid (<< same this year as well)
5. What countries did you visit? England. London. Man, that was incredible. Ever since then ive been kind of obsessed with travel. its kind of unhealthy, i think.
6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005? what i said for last year just depresses me, cuz its the same. i'm gonna keep that one private, though.
7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? my 17th birthday. The day I read HP#6. London.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? surviving through that summer. getting a toehold on my schoolwork...not going over the edge.
9. What was your biggest failure? i say the same thing as last year- mistakes are blessings as long as you learn from them. i only regret, and thats not useful (<
