Does the mind really have the capacity for two sets of memories, however? I have enough trouble remembering what's going to happen at times, I can't imagine always remembering what was going to happen all those times over. NOt that I don't remember my time over, you understand; but some of us aren't so lucky to be on our first go round.
Given that most have access to small snippets of it, I might venture to say it's already there. Just buried under a lot of other things. As for the limits of knowledge or information, well -- people have been trying to figure that out for a long time. Part of what makes epistemology so fun!
