This is my extremely half-hearted attempt to getting acquainted with this (…) thing. (a few pen taps against the page.) Collective. Community? Unless I'm just going crazy and writing into a stupid book to no one in particular

Hello, Quentin! You’re that guy with the balloon, aren't you?I've got to wonder, though, if it’s possible to somehow reach into those past existences and obtain something more than maybe the odd memory. If it's possible to remember feelings, intuitions, or skills of one’s own accord, completely unwarranted by any sort of deliberation, it shouldn’t be too much of a stretch to access something more. So much progress could be made in history and anthropology. Or it could even just help in getting a better grasp of oneself. Or oneselves, perhaps more accurately? Or maybe do something in the present to ensure a memory recall from this life in future incarnations. The possibilities are endless

In my opinion, it can't get much worse than being a reincarnated fucking bedtime story. If not in the name of science or history or what have you, I'd be more than willing to put myself forth just to know. People pay psychics and palm readers to delve into their so called past lives, but they haven't any inclination to believe that there really is such a thing other than superstition or mysticism hearsay. Our having at least some guarantee that there is a past life is more than enough motivation on my part. Call it curiosity, a quest for truth, stupidity, whatever. The repercussions can't be much worse than never truly knowing.
That's an interesting way of putting it, but probably the most appropriate, given the circumstances.
If my theory is correct, there's just as good a chance I'll be a drooling idiot next time, so no worries.

If there's something to be learned, I want to know. Just the way I am.
Interesting. And there's got to be a reason for your (...) condition as well.
Understandably. Your secret's safe with me, naturally.
I hope am sure that most of the people on this forum would be more than willing to participate in some kind of dialogue, as long as you ask the right questions. After all, it concerns all of us.
