Asking too much?

Usually, if somebody doesn't remember meeting me once or twice before I'm more than okay with it.  I can't be expected to remember somebody I've been introduced to sporadically every 6 months or so, thus, I don't expect the same from anybody else.  However, the same exception does not apply when a person has seen me almost every week for almost two months and can't remember my name.  This happened Saturday evening when I saw a woman that, up until a month ago, I had chatted with and spent almost two hours with each week.  Every week she would ask me my name.  Every week I would tell her but remember her name without fail.  Saturday, after she had been chatting away with me for several minutes as though we were old friends, she asked me my name AGAIN.  I don't want to take it personally but I don't see any other way to take it.  It's insulting and shows a lack or consideration and respect.  Or is that just me being a bit too sensitive?  Opinions?

The Windy City Rollers Ivy Cup Finals were fantastic!  If you didn't go you missed an enjoyable exhibition game between the White Unicorns (?) and the Black Plague.  Our own Derby Lite's Sue Perduper's husband, Mike Condolences, won the opportunity on Ebay to coach the Plague.  There was a really nice presentation of funds to Tequila Mockingbird.  And the Hell's Belles and Double Crossers put on one hell of a bout in their quest for the Ivy Cup.  It was a really close game, 4 points, with the Belle's winning their first ever Ivy Cup and the DX's narrowing the Belles' 17 point lead only in the last 10 minutes of the bout.  The Belles were the favorites this year.  But I was cheering for the Double Crossers.  This is mostly because I cheer for the underdog all the time and it's difficult for me to cheer for a team with perfect season, which the Belles had.  Plus, the Belles tend to play a more "dirty" game, in my opinion (and as evidenced by their extensive and numerous trips to The Bin).  If you haven't been to a WCR game, you'll need to get yourself to at least one next season.  Oh, yeah...The girls from the Quad City league were there and chatted with me outside about Derby Lite.  They were so nice and thought that D'Lite was a fantastic idea.  Very cool.

Saturday
gloriamunty(Poppy), Payne, Belle, and B showed up at Ultraviolet's (Pominatrix's daughter) birthday party at Lombard. Why were we attending a 7 year-old's skate birthday party, you ask? Uhhmmm...because we got to skate, eat pizza and have delicious cupcakes.  A girl's dream come true.  However, I'm so out of shape.  Tuesday is going to be very painful for me.  Poppy and I had some really great discussions about why "Never Been Kissed" does not work and is creepy on so many levels, what has become wrong with BSG, how "Charlie's Angels" could be improved upon so that works and is good, and a bevy of other things.  Saturday was a ton of fun.  Thanks to Payne for hosting us between "parties" at her house: I covet her kitchen table and cabinets!!

My plan to "show affection" (a.k.a. stalk) to Duncan Keith on Saturday morning fell through. Ok, honestly? I chose to sleep in rather than get up at 6 a.m. and skate down to the North Avenue outdoor hockey rink, to be there by 8:30, in time for his arrival.  Sorry, Duncs.  Maybe I'll be more motivated next time.

Sunday I managed to wake up early, finish re-potting the last 5 plants for my back porch, and clean & sweep the porch.  The porch (but not the apartment) is ready for guests!  Woohoo!  I can't wait.  Then I started feeling really sick at about noon and spent the rest of the day unconscious.  Actually, I woke at around 8:00, drank some herbal tea and woke up  again at 6:00 this morning.  This is my very exciting life.  You want to be me, I know you do.
