You want the young American, young American....

....or Canadian, or Finn, or Slovak, or Russian...

Ah, the Young Stars Game. How I love thee and your barely legal lovelies let me count the ways. Or not. But seriously, folks, I thoroughly enjoy watching all the All Star break activities. I enjoy seeing players who are foes and competitors during the season play on the same side.  I also love seeing these guys just having fun. That's what it was last night.  I've never seen any of these players smile so much or enjoy themselves to such an extent on the ice. For a few nights it does not seem to be a job to them. Granted, it may not make for the most exciting hockey. I was a wee bored by the Young Bucks, working on my Hockey's Ladies of Greatness application until the last five minutes.  Leave it to our Brent "Blimp Head" Seabrook (Wot?! He has a huge cranium) to create the FIRST special teams goal in the history of the Young Stars Game. C'mon, Brent, hooking? At the All Star?

Martin Havlat scored in the shootout event in the SuperSkills competition, taking the sting out of Seabrook’s history making penalty. I love the SuperSkills part of the ASG. It was amusing to see Alexander Ovechkin, so confident in himself winning the Fastest Skater event, come in with one of the slowest times. Sasha, you can't be the best at everything all the time! Duncan Keith and his 23 year-old speedy legs would have smoked all of them.  As for Zdeno Chara and his 100.4 mph Hardest Shot winner...HOLY COW! The man is HUGE!  HUGE!  Marty, at 6'2" and 207 lbs, looks like a 15 year-old kid next to Chara.

Forgive me as I slip in to massive puck bunny-dom but...OMFG! Sakic and Selanne are unbelievably smokin' hot! I'm only giving voice to what all of you have been thinking all along. Don't kill the messenger.
